Equipments have activated abilities, and when you equip a Bonesplitter to a creature you control, its an activated ability that goes on the stack , and they can even respond by killing the creature you would equip
Muddy Water is handy, letting you put extra Fighting or Water energy down each turn
"Tug-of-War" is great at sending out pinging little damage across the board to your opponents, which will fuel your strategy - and it doesn't hurt that, in a pinch, it can wipe out a lot of evasive enemy characters
